Swiss Chicken

Swiss Chicken


This is super easy, and tastes great!

3-4 chicken breast halves--cooked
1 - 15 oz can tomato sauce italian style OR
2 - 8 oz cans tomato sauce**
8 oz swiss cheese, sliced

Cook the chicken until done and soft.  Lay chicken out in a greased 8X8" casserole pan.   You can cut chicken up into bit sized pieces or leave it large.  (I usually cut it up.)  Put a layer of swiss cheese slices on top of the chicken.  Pour the italian tomato sauce over the cheese and chicken.  Bake in a 350 degree oven for 30 minutes.

**If you don't have the italian spiced tomato sauce, you can use tomato sauce.  Just spice it up with basil, oregano, garlic, and anything else you like before pouring it over the chicken.  Probably about 1/4 tsp of each should work.

This is great served with rice.
